In 1945, accountant Elmer Whalen and his wife Gerry, founded our firm to provide high standards of accounting with personalized service for businesses and individuals.
More than 65 years later, our staff still honors this philosophy with professional services that are tailored to a company's and individual's needs. As our clients have grown and evolved, our breadth of accounting and consulting services has grown with them.
Whalen & Company started in Springfield, Ohio, with 20 clients. In 1947, the firm moved to a downtown Columbus office
above the former Clock Restaurant on High Street. In the early 60s, sons Jim and Jedd joined Elmer in the practice and moved to new offices on Cleveland Avenue where the firm grew to over 30 employees.
Today, our full-service accounting and consulting offices are located in Worthington, Ohio where we service middle market business clients and individuals.
