Patrick has a bachelor's degree in business administration with a specialization in accounting from The Ohio State University. He is a Certified Public Accountant, licensed in Ohio, and is a member of the Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Patrick provides tax and consulting services to business and individual clients. He also advises clients in a variety of areas, including entity selection, business acquisition and sales, like-kind exchanges and cost segregation opportunities. He has extensive experience with pass-through entities and individual taxation. In addition, Patrick represents clients before the IRS and is experienced in resolving issues with state and municipal taxing authorities. He has also provided expert witness testimony and litigation support services.

Prior to joining Whalen, Patrick was a tax manager at an international public accounting firm and spent seven years serving clients involved in the real estate industry, as well as middle market businesses, not-for-profit entities and high, net-worth individuals.

Patrick enjoys fishing, reading and spending time with his wife Dawn and their two children, Emily and Nicholas.
