Mary Ann McCool is the payroll manager with Whalen & Company, CPAs. She brings over 25 years of experience in the accounting and the human resources arenas. While maintaining a high level of customer service, accuracy and efficiency within the department, Mary Ann also serves our clients through advice and guidance in human resource compliance.

Mary Ann's previous experience includes 7 years in a senior management role where she was responsible for all areas of human resources as well as all accounting functions through financial statements, including budget preparation and full payroll administration. She has a strong background in the design and implementation of employee benefit programs, including the coordination of Section 125 plans, Health Savings Accounts and Health Reimbursement Accounts.

After attending Indiana University of Pennsylvania, Mary Ann settled with her husband Joe, and they raised 3 children. She enjoys spending as much time with her family as possible as well as reading, bicycling and golf.
